![]() The basic premise of the story is you travel around the world in the 15th century. It's a text based adventure seen in most JRPG's which I felt could have been a lot more engaging. ![]() Speaking of single player, let's talk about Libra of Souls, the choose your own adventure that's told through very less fighting funny enough. However it's a side mission in the single player campaign which can be avoided and brings very little reward to the story experience. ![]() I hope this gets patched because this fight alone took about 20 minutes. Which brings me to my first nitpick, the camera angles can sometimes work against you, I had to rely on pure luck at one point in the story to block and knock off an invincible foe and it took me far longer than it should have to knock an enemy out of the map simply because the camera wouldn't register the enemies moves to cause them to fall. If you're in a map which has a ring out enabled, positioning is key, you can cause your opponent to fall off the level and win the round or you can throw them off yourself. It's easier to see it in action than to explain it. Now if both players guess the same thing, you can then try again and the person who initiated the reversal edge will win if the results come down the same. Newer fighters can use this to their advantage and I found myself putting this to good use but it's also fairly easy to dodge these moves. At its heart, Soul Caliber's fighting core boils down to simplicity, you have high, medium and low attacks but you also have a variation of blocks, a special kind of counter called reversal edges which will stop short of your opponents combo attacks when used correctly, reversal edges initiate a rock, paper, scissors mode where you can either disrupt a fighter's flow or they can do the same to you, it comes down to a guessing game. It maintains a few key elements from previous series and I'm pleased to say retains all the good bits and polishes the bad. Top that with a brilliant orchestral symphony for music and a few challenging fights, it's this mode that I stuck with, most of the time but there's more to be explored. This is most pervasive in the single player Libra of Souls where you create an original character with their character creator, which the internet is currently going wild with, and you're free to seek any fate you choose, good or evil. Soul Calibur has always stood out to me as that fighting series that isn't just about the fighting but about the sense of grandeur and the world building that happens. The mechanics are simple but the more you play, there's more intuitive in depth fighting systems at work which you'll realize as you put in more hours into it. The primary being that it was a fighting series like Tekken, Dead or Alive, with the motive being it was an easy title to pick up and especially to play with a friend. With MEDIUM Setting & 720p Resolution, I could get around 30 - 45 FPS.Ah Soul Calibur, where do I even begin ? After playing almost every title since Soul Calibur 2, it's like I grew up with the series and largely forgot about what it was doing but it was nice to revisit it and enjoy nostalgic moments. When we use Auto Setting Option on Graphics Setting, The Game chose what's best graphical setting to our Laptop/PC and It chose Medium Setting For my Laptop. This game is really playable on my Low Specs Laptop. I could get around 60 FPS on LOW Setting & 720p Resolution. Soul Calibur VI on a Laptop with 4GB of RAM, i3, and 920M But, What's the results? Guess what, The game was/is playable on my Low Specs Laptop. If we compare it with my Laptop Specs, that means My Laptop doesn't meet the minimum requirements to play Soul Calibur VI. If you see the PC requirements above, you can see that it needs GeForce GTX 1050 as minimum recommendations. OS: Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 (64-bit versions) GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 (Legacy GPUs: GeForce GTX 660, 750 Ti, or equivalent) This is the PC requirements to play Soul Calibur VI PC:ĬPU: Intel Core Intel Core i3-4160 3.60GHz or equivalent. But can a Low Specs handle Soul Calibur VI? Here is my analysis. Soul Calibur VI is the first installment to launch on PC.
